Sydney’s Off to One of the Happiest Cities in America, Boulder, CO!

Mates, if you’re up for hiking, walking, or jogging, the trails are everywhere.

Boulder has 45,000 acres of municipality owned, undeveloped Open Space and Mountain Parks surround the city with over 144 miles of trails. That’s more than all of Colorado’s ski areas combined.  Most of these areas are leash free, so long as your dog responds to voice and sight control.  So get that puppy to school, mate!

According to my research, when residents of this mountain town want to acquire a pet they fill out paperwork establishing them not as the animal’s owner, but as their legal guardian.  Now that’s class.

Summer is the busiest tourist season, however winter in Boulder is surprisingly mild. Hotels offer their lowest rates, the University of Colorado is in session bringing a young energy to the city and believe it or not, there’s not much snow on the ground.

Boulder has approximately 25 hotels, about half of which accept pets.  All take both dogs and cats for various pet fees.  Always be sure to call in advance to establish the rates and conditions.

If you’re in the “don’t leave Boulder behind without another pet” mode, the Boulder Valley Humane Society is extraordinary.  You can place a featured animal on hold or tour the facility to find your new family member.  They also offer an extraordinary CareCredit payment plan which allows patrons a convenient alternative to credit cards.  CareCredit allows you to pay over time without incurring interest charges or an extended low fixed-interest payment plan.

Enjoy Boulder!
