Rachael Ray’s Food Truck For Dogs Keeps on Giving

January 17, 2014

Last fall, Food Network Superstar, Rachael Ray introduced a new food concept to the food truck craze.  A “Pup-Up Truck” for dogs only.

The passionate animal advocate used the vehicle to promote a new line of wet dog food from her charitable pet food company, Nutrish.  According to People Magazine, the initial stop on New York City’s Columbus Square attracted the kind of attention that raises awareness and can make a lasting difference.

The first pups in line were from the local Best Friends Animal Society, where many adoptable dogs feasted on Chicken Muttballs, Chicken Paw Pie, Beef Stroganwoof and Tail Waggin’ Turkey.

“I cook doggie versions of all the human meals I make,” said Ray.

She said that she first got the ideas for her wet food line called “Nutrish Naturally Delish” for her, “Every Day with Rachael Ray” magazine.
Since launching Nutrish in 2008, Ray has donated a portion of all profits to animal welfare organizations to the tune of over $4 million.  The line (so for for dogs only...but cats are coming soon) features wet and dry selections that contain no artificial preservatives, flavors or colors.

“Nutrish is made to human standards.  I’ve tried the kibble myself,”  she said, “And the wet food looks like real food, not brown mush.”

Thank you Rachael, for using your celebrity to educate humans who love their pets and help pets find loving, lasting homes through your charities.  pz
