The word hits the Internet and the hunt is on!

The thrill of this particular chase is spurred by a street artist know only by his moniker, Catlanta. 

Scavenger hunters all over Atlanta, Georgia, are after an irresistible prize that is well, …irresistible.  A small, metallic gold magnet in the shape of a cat emblazoned with a heart and the Catlanta signature that he places on lampposts, mailboxes, gates, parking meters and whatever else will hold them.  The artist plants these precious gifts in well-known areas of the city, then posts the photos on Facebook, Twitter and Flickr, and the hunt is on!

His fan base is rapidly growing and news feeds of his next “kitten drop” complete with photos and clues to their location are eagerly anticipated.

What is his motivation?  The artist’s comment, simply put.  “It’s just fun.”

And Pups & Kittens, I have zi latest Catlanta NEWS!  Catlanta is appearing at FLUX NIGHT!

FLUX NIGHT is zi annual one-night only public art event presented by Flux Projects.  It iz held in zi streets and empty spaces of zi Castleberry Hill Arts District in Atlanta.  (But, of course, oui?)

Zi evening features art projections, dance performance music, multimedia, sound and light installations and CATLANTA!  He and other favorite public artists will place their free art throughout zi event and participants are invited to collect the pieces and re-share them.

Zi event begins with a parade at 8pm and ends at zi stroke of midnight with a performance and after party at Elliot Stret Pub.  (Whatever shall I wear?!)
